Everything You Need to Know about Paris Hilton’s Extravagant Wedding!
When reality TV's most extra star gets officially married, we have to talk about history's most rhinestone-studded wedding ceremony. From several outfit changes and dogs in suits to cliff-height heels and themed portions of the day, Paris Hilton's wedding has been one of the most iconic wedding ceremonies in history. Let’s have a closer look at some details about the venue, ceremony, and, of course, her dresses!
Paris Hilton married 40-year-old American venture capitalist, Carter Milliken Leum at a spectacular ceremony at Beverly Hills at her grandfather’s Bel Air Estate. As you can imagine, the couple has invited a bunch of A-listers to be the audience of that special day, including Jasmine Tookes, Sophia Richie, Emma Roberts, Jaden Smith, Bebe Rexha, Kim Kardashian, aunt and reality show star Kyle Richards, and singer Paula Abdul. Wedding guests were dazzled by a huge marquee and fancy pink floral parade at the £45million estate; some displays spelt out the bride and groom's initials.
Reum proposed to Hilton on a private island in February 2021 during a holiday, where the couple were celebrating Hilton’s birthday. The ring was designed by Jean Dousset, the great-grandson of Louis Cartier. The emerald-cut diamond was inspired by classic Art Nouveau aesthetics and the vaulted glass ceiling of the Grand Palais.
Thursday's Beverly Hills Ceremony is just one side of the wedding. Did you expect the Hilton wedding to be just in the afternoon? Hilton’s wedding was a three-day extravaganza.
On November 11, 2021, the beautiful bride walked down the aisle at Bel Air Estate wearing a custom gown by Oscar de la Renta while Kim Petras sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Hilton said that she wanted a dress that is timeless, elegant, chic, and iconic. Her stylist helped her choose accessories to go with her divine first look.
The long-sleeved dress features pressed floral embroidery and a tulle ball skirt. For the reception, the bride changed into a second taffeta bustier cocktail dress with 3D floral embroidery by Oscar de la Renta so she can dance comfortably. She decorated her 2nd look with a batch of dazzling diamonds, including the headband, necklace, earrings, and her eye-catching ring. After that, she wore a third dress by Pamella Roland during the reception that was covered in sparkles.
The bride has initially planned to wear 11 dresses on her wedding day, in reference to her big day’s date, 11/11. On Thursday, Paris wore four dresses! For her second party on Friday, Paris wore a long-sleeved, short pink dress that resembled a Disney princess gown.
She named her second wedding day "Paris World", where she rented the entire Saint Monica pier to set up a huge carnival as the ceremony was like a trip to the amusement park. Paris and her husband were captured playing many games.
As for the third day, which was held on Saturday night and lasted until Sunday morning, it included many musical segments, including a singing performance by Macy Gray, in addition to some touching words from the audience and Paris Hilton herself.
